More than just insurance
Construction Insurance
If you’re in the construction sector, we can help you find the right insurance for your needs at a competitive premium and help you manage your risks more effectively. The construction sector has many unique characteristics and we have the knowledge and experience to ensure that you and your clients are protected.
What insurance cover does a construction business need?
We work with a wide range of companies in construction and the allied trades. Whatever it is you do, it’s very likely we’ll have the experience and the relationships with insurers to find the right cover for your needs.
The core covers for clients in the construction sector are usually:
- Contractors All Risks – this provides cover for the work you have undertaken on a project, machinery and materials stored on-site, temporary site buildings and more.
- Public Liability – this covers your liability for property damage or injury suffered by third parties as a result of your work. For large, high-risk projects you may be asked by clients to have a very high level of cover (such as £20m instead of the usual £10m). We can arrange additional cover to ensure that you meet your clients’ requirements.
- Employers’ Liability – if any employees or subcontractors are injured in the course of their work, this would cover their compensation costs.
- JCT ‘Non-Negligence’ cover – this covers the costs of any damage which isn’t caused directly by negligence, during the course of construction.
- Professional Indemnity – if you give professional advice as part of your work, this would cover the cost of any losses incurred as a result of any errors or omissions in your advice.
- Motor Fleet Insurance – as well as covering your cars and vans we can arrange cover for construction vehicles either owned by you or hired in for specific projects.
Many construction companies will need a wide range of additional covers. We’ll get to know your business and recommend exactly what we think you’ll need.
